  • Ghee (clarified butter) or oil for cooking
  • Salt, to taste

Method:

Step 1: Marinating the Paneer

  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, half of the biryani masala, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, and red chili powder.
  2. Add the paneer cubes to the marinade. Cover and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Step 2: Preparing the Rice

Parboil the soaked basmati rice with a pinch of salt until it’s 70% cooked. Drain the water and set aside.

  1. Gently fluff the biryani with a fork to mix the layers.
  2. Serve hot, garnished with fried onions, fresh coriander, and mint leaves.
